Arrest procedure training may cover techniques for handcuffing and individual or controlling a violent suspect along with when and how arrests are to be made. Another common element of Security Guard Training is weapons training. A security officer that has roles that involve protecting human life in potentially violent situations, or guarding large amounts of valuables or cash, are often trained to use weapons and force.

Security Guard Training Information

Weapons training and force training involves covering when and how to use weapons such as firearms, batons, pepper spray, and tasers. Along with how and when to use these weapons, Security Guard Training often also involves training covering ways to deal with agitated or mentally ill persons in a non-violent ways including soft contact training such as arm bars and other less than violent means to control a suspect, often such skills are derived from the martial arts.
